So every once in a while you get to do an amazing shoot… in an amazing location…. and this Connemara couple shoot with Ruth and Sam was just that! Everything was perfect including the weather!… which for anyone who knows Connemara, this place has a climate of its own! To me all of Connemara is stunning, but it is vast, so for the shoot we decided that the best starting point would be The National Park and then we would take it from there.
As we walked up the hills we were surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. We got a freak sunny day in April and Ruth and Sam were just brilliant, up for anything as we climbed further into the mountain. It was such a fun shoot, we chatted and laughed as we walked around the beautiful landscape. As I walked around I remember Jim Pollard’s talk from Farmshop in March about finding your own back yard, looking at your environment and being a 10 year old again in the way you explore it and I smiled to myself and thought well this is definitely some back yard that we have! I always feel so lucky to have this only a few hours drive away from my home, to have some of the most spectacular scenery that you can find, pretty much on your doorstep. I know the weather doesn’t always play ball in Ireland but when it does it is pretty amazing, you just have to look around! #everyonehasabackyard
I can not wait for these guys wedding in September, if these are anything to go by its going to be awesome!
