I love being able to shoot in Dublin city centre, its such a vibrant city with so many hidden spots to explore and no better place for a couple shoot as you can have a great contrast between urban spaces, architecture and street art. Back on a stormy Sunday morning in November I got to photograph Stefanie and Ben’s cool couple shoot in Dublin city. I had met up previously with Stef and Ben to get to know them a little better and we discussed ideas of what they wanted out of their Dublin city couple shoot, where they liked in Dublin and the look and feel they wanted to go for. They both love a mix of old and new and possibly some street art so after finding out their style, the locations we decided on were around Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar’s Love Lane.
Couple shoot’s can be a bit daunting initially, as you can feel silly in front of the camera but they are a great why to get comfortable in front of the lens and show a part of your personality at the same time, in a way that is separate from your wedding day. A couple shoot can show more of the day to day you are a couple. A big thing for Stefanie and Ben was that they wanted their dog Iggy to be part of the shoot too, she’s quite the star in her own right #iggythefrench! So we braved the elements and had a great laugh at the same time jumping in and out of the car, dodging the showers. Here’s a few from the shoot, can not wait for this great couple’s wedding next year!
