Porto

Recently I visited the beautiful city of Porto in Portugal. The city itself is full of old world charm, with narrow and hilly streets, tiles houses and of course Port! (which tastes so much nicer in Porto!) Porto is Portugal’s second-largest city after Lisbon. Sometimes called Oporto, it’s an age-old city that has one foot firmly in the industrial present. The old town, centered at Ribeira, was built on the hills overlooking the Douro River, and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 14th-century São Francisco church is a main attraction, as are the local port wine cellars, mostly located across the river at Vila Nova de Gaia. My photos are mostly from the Praca da Ribeira, calem wine cellar and Palácio da Bolsa, as well as images from the boat tour on the Douro. I absolutely loved the architecture of the city, visually so much to look at will definitely be going back.
Enjoy!
