I’m finally getting around to posting these photographs from Katie and Darragh’s unique couple shoot at the amazing hidden gem that is Camden Fort Meagher in Crosshaven, Co. Cork. The lovely Katie was lucky enough to get us a private viewing and tour of the Fort as it didn’t open for the summer season for another couple of weeks. (It opens to the public from the end of May to September) To be honest even after living in Cork for a year, I had never even knew there was such a place or Fort like this in Ireland. Camden Fort Meagher is one of the finest remaining examples of a classical Coastal Artillery Fort in the world and for almost 400 years the fort played a key role as a strong strategic position for the defence of Ireland, the west coast of England and Wales. 65% of the Fort is located underground in a labyrinth of tunnels and chambers, which we were lucky enough to photograph. It is truly an amazing place situated on the hilltops of Crosshaven, ideal for a unique and alternative couple shoot or even wedding venue. The views for the Fort are spectacular overlooking Cork Harbour and it is definitely worth checking out if you are exploring Co.Cork this summer!
Katie and Darragh were such a cool couple and with such wonderful surrounding to work in, I can’t help but smile everytime I look through these photos!
